Prince Samben Nwosu, a prominent chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, has officially resigned from the party.
In a letter addressed to Otolo Ward 1, Nnewi Secretariat, Nwosu announced his decision, citing ongoing internal challenges within the party.
The announcement, made public on January 10, 2025, highlighted Nwosu’s discontent with what he described as “unfair treatment and orchestrated embarrassment” by certain party figures.
He particularly referenced a controversial suspension letter purportedly issued against him without proper notification or due process.

He condemned the alleged monetization of the forthcoming Anambra South Senatorial election, emphasizing that leadership should prioritize a prepared mind over financial inducements.
Nwosu, who is vying for the Anambra South Senatorial seat, expressed gratitude to his supporters and reaffirmed his commitment to the region’s development.
“This decision was not made lightly,” he said. “I have given my all to the PDP, but recent events have made it clear that it is time to move on.”
He assured his constituents that his vision for Anambra South remains steadfast. “We will not be deterred by obstacles or discouraged by those who seek to undermine our progress. With God on our side, we will persevere and overcome,” Nwosu said, urging supporters to remain hopeful and united in the quest for justice, equality, and opportunity.
As Nwosu turns a new chapter in his political career, he remains resolute in his mission to bring positive change to Anambra South, pledging to uphold the principles of fairness and
