Promotion of basic Education, Governor Sule bags Platinum Award

Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, will on Thursday bag a prestigious Platinum Award and recognition as Education Ambassador in Nigeria.

Sule, who is the fourth democratically elected Governor of the State, since assumption in Office, has continue to accord basic and Primary Education a top priority.

This has since led to the transformation of the Sector.
It is for this reason the Independent Newspaper will honor the governor with the prestigious Award.

In a Statement signed and made available to Newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia, the State Capital, Ibrahim Addra, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, said” the honour to be bestowed on Governor Sule is at the instance of the Independent Newspaper which referenced the Governor’s investment, advocacy and promotion of child education in Nasarawa State which resonate across the country”.

According to him” in a letter notifying the Governor of the award, the Independent Newspaper said “If Sir Ahmadu Bello were to look back from his grave, he would no doubt be proud of Governor Abdullahi Sule for sustaining the legacy of free primary education”.

Addra said the Governor will be honoured at a ceremony in Lagos, commemorating Platinum Jubilee of Free Universal Primary Education in Nigeria, organized by the reputable News Paper Organization.

He said the governor who has since expressed gratitude to the Management of the Media Outfit for recognizing the efforts of his administration to give the education sector the deserved attention through huge budgetary provision, innovation, supervision and uncommon commitment, dedicates the Award to the people of the state for their cooperation and support for his administration.
