Onuoha Chinonso Samuel Goes Into Hiding Over Gender Identity

One Mr. Onuoha Chinonso Samuel From Abia State is an individual of interest by the Nigerian police force for a case of bisexual activity and involvement in LGBTQ COMMUNITY which is a serious offense against the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria under section 5(2) of the same sex marriage act (prohibition) 2013.

Nigeria criminalises same-sex sexual activity between men and between women. The gender expression of trans people is also criminalised. Sentences include a maximum penalty of death by stoning. There is evidence of the law being enforced in recent years, and LGBTQ people are regularly subjected to discrimination and violence.

It is also an offence under the Criminal Code of Abia state which prohibits any form of relationship including “domestic partnerships,” “caring partnerships,” or “adult independent relationships” between two individuals of the same sex. It also punishes any public show of affection, even a kiss, between two people of the same sex, with lengthy prison terms for those convicted of such offences.

On the 10th of MARCH, 2025 a group of armed men invaded a popular bar in Abuja (name withheld) and arrested several young men, while others managed to escape including Mr. Onuoha Chinonso Samuel.
It was gathered that individuals who claimed to be members of the LGBTQ community were celebrating at the venue when they were attacked.

Chinonso is a member of LGBTQ COMMUNITY Called “Queerlibre Naira” Our men were able to arrest some of the LGBTQ community members at the scene, while Chinonso escaped at the venue of the incident. The Nigeria police has charged those arrested to court, while Mr. Onuoha Chinonso’s whereabout remain unknown to us according to a police source.

Though our investigation shows that Mr. Onuoha Chinonso Samuel must have been aided out. The police are keeping the suspect under constant surveillance.
