JUST IN: Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona passes on at 91

The Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, has reportedly joined his ancestors at the age of 91.
Sources indicate that the highly revered monarch passed away in a private hospital in Lagos, the Ogun State Government has officially confirmed the passing of the Monarch.
Oba Adetona, who ascended the throne in 1960, was one of Nigeria’s longest-reigning monarchs, serving the Ijebu people for over six decades with distinction, wisdom, and dedication.
His absence during the recent Ojude Oba Festival where he was represented by his wife had raised concerns about his health.
