Sanwo-Olu, Deputy cast votes in Lagos Local Government Elections

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday exercised his civic responsibility by voting in the ongoing local government elections across the state.

The governor, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, arrived at their polling units—06 and 07—located at St. Stephen Nursery and Primary School on Adeniji Adele Road, Lagos Island, at approximately 11:00 a.m. He cast his ballot at exactly 11:28 a.m.

Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat also voted in the election. He performed his civic duty at his polling unit in Oke-Balogun, Epe, around 11:05 a.m.

The local government elections, organized by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), are taking place across the 20 constitutionally recognized Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).

Voters across the state are selecting candidates for the positions of chairman, vice chairman, and councillors in their respective councils.
