The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, says the Federal and Kebbi State Governments are planning a gigantic empowerment programme in the state.
The governor announced this while receiving a group of women and youths from Fada/Junju area in Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Saturday.
He said: “Very soon, the state government and the federal government will come up with a huge empowerment programme that will be spread across different categories of people.
“This empowerment is not like other empowerment programmes, it’s a huge one, don’t allow anybody to deceive you. Therefore, vote APC from top to bottom.”
Gov. Idris pledged that more dividends of democracy were on the pipeline to give the good people of the state a sense of belonging.
The governor appreciated the organisers of the event as well as those who left their political parties to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Earlier, Alhaji Abubakar Shamaki and Abubakar Dangaladima had said that members of Fada/Junju community was solidly behind the second term bid of the governor.
They said as their inlaw, they would not disappoint him and assured him that they would do everything possible to ensure his success.
The duo advised the governor to be careful with those politicians coming to report others, saying that all those politicians didn’t mean well for his success.
They admonished that any time a politician reported his colleague, the governor should give the two parties a fair hearing to enable the reported politician also tell his own side of the story.
They, however, Prayed for the Governor, that May the Almighty Allah SWT will protect him in the hands of his enemies and give him more wisdom in piloting the affair of the state.
