Yoruba Nollywood actor Babatunde Tayo, popularly known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a brief intimate encounter with skitmaker Ganiyu Morufu Dara, the wife of his colleague, Ijoba Lande.
The revelation comes after Ijoba Lande shared a video on Instagram, alleging that his wife left him after he uncovered her alleged infidelity. He also accused his manager, Mary Gold, of introducing Dara to Baba Tee despite knowing she was married.
In response, Mary Gold claimed that the encounter happened after Dara had questioned Baba Tee’s virility, prompting a heated exchange. Initially, Baba Tee denied any wrongdoing, challenging Lande to provide evidence. However, during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok influencers on March 9, 2025, he admitted to a brief sexual encounter with Dara.
Explaining the situation, Baba Tee stated that the incident occurred while playing a “Truth or Dare” game under the influence of alcohol. He claimed he was unaware that Dara was Lande’s wife at the time, as Mary Gold had introduced her only as a content creator.
“When Mary Gold and Dara came to my house, she [Mary Gold] said she wanted me to be the MC for an upcoming event but didn’t inform me she was bringing someone along. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. Later, they suggested we play ‘Truth or Dare.’
“As the game progressed, Mary Gold removed her clothes and continuously dared me to interact with Dara while consuming alcohol. Instead of asking me ‘Truth’ questions, they kept giving me ‘Dare’ tasks. Eventually, Mary Gold dared Dara to have a quick encounter with me, and she agreed. I only engaged in a brief act and did not have full intercourse with her. I didn’t know she was Lande’s wife at the time, which is why I initially denied it.”
Following his admission, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande. On March 10, 2025, Baba Tee publicly expressed regret in a Facebook post, saying, “I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. I never knew Dara was your wife… Hmmm, I fear women.”
Meanwhile, Dara, in a viral video, gave her version of events. She explained that she first met Baba Tee in July 2024 when she accompanied her friend Mary Gold to his house. According to her, the visit was to invite Baba Tee to a movie premiere.
She detailed how the night unfolded, stating that Mary Gold requested alcohol, which Baba Tee’s driver was sent to buy. Once the drinks arrived, they started playing “Truth or Dare”.
“Mary Gold took off her clothes and gave Baba Tee a BJ. By then, I had already had about 10 shots of alcohol while both of them smoked marijuana. She then dared Baba Tee to engage with me in doggy style. He went inside to get a condom, but when he returned, I refused and instead sat on his lap. We told Mary Gold to face the wall so she wouldn’t watch. Nothing else happened, I only sat on his lap.”
The situation has sparked widespread reactions, with many questioning the roles of all parties involved.
