May Day: Bakare celebrates workers on Workers’ Day

The executive Chairperson of Irewolede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon.(Mrs) Dupe Bakare has congratulated the entire workforce of the council as they joined their counterparts nationwide to mark 2025 Worker’s Day.

In a goodwill message, Hon. Bakare applauded the relentless commitment, resilience, and professionalism of workers, and described them as the vital engine driving grassroots development and public service.

She appreciated the worker’s continued support, which culminated in various successes recorded by her administration.

Bakare also used the Worker’s Day celebration to congratulate the Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ijero local government chapter, on their recent election and inauguration of a new Executive where Mrs. Omoyeye of Irewolede LCDA emerged as the Chairperson of the union.

The council boss reaffirmed his commitment to policies that empower the workforce, recognizing their indispensable role in building a prosperous and people-centered local government system and wishing them a happy 2025 Worker’s Day celebration.

May 1st is celebrated globally as International Worker’s Day to honor the efforts, achievements, and enduring value of workers in shaping a better society.
