Man Bags 18 Years Imprisonment For His Involvement In Same Sex Activities

The Federal High Court on Wednesday sentenced one Abdual Razak Isah to 15 years imprisonment for LGBTQ related offences.

Abdual Razak Isah was convicted of his involvement in same sex activities which is a strict offence against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He violated section 5 (2) of the Same Sex Marriage Act (prohibition) 2013.

Delivery the judgment on Wednesday the persecutor claimed Abdual Razak Isah was arrested in a joint raid operation after being informed about their activities at Option Seven Hotel in the early hours of 17th June, 2023 with some of his cohorts practicing same sex his partner Kayode Adeboye who is still at large physically assaulted a staff of the hotel while trying to escape arrest, Razak had earlier escaped from the Police detention in the mid-night of 15th December, 2023 but was later re-arrested.

The Judge sentenced Razak to 15 years imprisonment for his involvement in same sex activities and 3 years for cell breaking and damaging of the property belonging the Federal Government while in custody of the police.
