2027 Election: Imo ADC finalises primaries, as 13 National Assembly, 25 Imo house candidates wins

2027 Election: Imo ADC finalises primaries, as 13 National  Assembly, 25 Imo house candidates wins

The African Democratic Congress, (ADC), Imo State Chapter, has elected the state House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates for the 2027 general elections

This is giving the successful conclusion of the party primary election held in the state which produced ten House of Representatives, three Senatorial and twenty five House of Assembly candidates.

The primaries, according to the state chairman of ADC, Prof. James Okoroma, was held under strict adherence to the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines, witnessed massive participation of party faithful, aspirants, and stakeholders.

Prof. Okoroma highlighted that the exercise which was conducted and supervised by the state Executive Committee, led by Hon. Eko Atu was peaceful, transparent and reflects the ADC’s commitment to internal democracy and grassroots ownership.

Amongst those elected as flag bearers of the party includes, Vincent O.N.Iwuchukwu as senatorial candidate for Imo West, Ofoegbu Uchenna Daniel candidate for Imo East and Ibekwe Nkiruka Imma-candidate for Imo North.

House of Representatives candidates include, Amadi Samuel Okechukwu house of representative candidate for Owerri -Municipal/Owerri North/Owerri West federal constituency, Ogbonna Chukwudi Joseph Ihette/Uboma/Ehime Mbano federal constituency, Ifeanyichukwu Emanuel Egejuru -Onuimo/Isiala Mbano/Okigwe federal constituency, Obama Ikechukwu Calistus – Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency.

Others are Okoro Rex Chikwesiri – Ahiazu Mbaise/Ezinihitte Mbaise federal constituency, Anselem Nwoko Ikwu- Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor-Okpala federal constituency, Bismark Chike Iheomazuruoke Akanoo- Nkwere/Isu/Njaba/Nwangele federal constituency, Peters Uchenna Richard- Ohaji/Egbema/Oguta/Oru West federal constituency and Kingsley Nnadi Okwarabizie- Ideator North/Ideator Federal Constituency.

The party equally elected twenty five state House of Assembly candidates, which include, Ebo Marcel Chibueze as candidate for Ehime Mbano state constituency, Nwadike Henry Ogechi for Nkwere state constituency, Isaac Ugochukwu Mbika- Orlu, Emmanuel Ifeanyi Uwaegbute- Okigwe, Uba Chinonso Theodore- Mbaitoli, Amadi Carlson Chidi- Ohaji/Egbema state constituency and 19 other candidates in the state.

Speaking after the conclusion of the exercise, Hon. Eko Atu led state Executive Committee commended delegates, aspirants, and the electoral committee for their discipline and sportsmanship.

He submitted that the exercise has produced a crop of flag bearers with proven track records, deep grassroots connection, and the capacity to deliver quality representation and transformative leadership at both state and federal levels.

According to him, African Democratic Congress in Imo State is proud to present candidates who embody competence, integrity, and the aspirations of the people.

He said: “These flag bearers are ready to engage Imo electorates on issues that matters, security, jobs, infrastructure, education, and economic revitalization”

He said that the successful process is a clear statement that the ADC remains the most organized, united, and people-centered political platform in Imo State today pointing out that the party is battle-ready, united, and determined to offer Imo people a credible alternative in 2027.

In his remarks, the Imo State Chairman of ADC, Prof. Okoroma congratulated all elected flag bearers and called on all members, supporters, and stakeholders to rally behind them in building an unstoppable momentum towards victory.

Prof. Okoroma highlighted that the battles ahead are enormous and submitted that they are surmountable through hard work, determination consistency and resilience.

He charged party faithful and electorate to stand firm with courage as a paradigm shift beckons for greater hope and aspirations towards realization of collective dreams.

Prof. Okoroma called on members and stakeholders to take the ADC’s message of hope and renewal to every ward, community, and household in Imo State as the time to reclaim the state for purposeful and impactful leadership is now.
