The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Ogun State Joint Campus Council (JCC), has reaffirmed its confidence in the leadership and continued engagement of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as YAYI, following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 Ogun State Governorship Election.

As a student body, we have consistently followed Senator Adeola’s interventions and engagements with the student community. We have witnessed various projects, educational interventions and initiatives across campuses in Ogun State, including activities that were undertaken even before his emergence as the APC governorship candidate.

These efforts have demonstrated a sustained interest in issues affecting students and young people. We therefore acknowledge and appreciate the contributions that have been made so far, while encouraging Senator Adeola to do even more for the student constituency.

The student community remains a critical stakeholder in the development of Ogun State. We believe that continued investment in education, student welfare, skills development, youth empowerment, infrastructure and employment opportunities will further strengthen the relationship between government and the students of Ogun State.

NANS Ogun JCC also declares its readiness to participate actively and responsibly in the forthcoming 2027 election. We shall continue to mobilise eligible students to participate in the democratic process, exercise their civic responsibilities and make informed electoral decisions.

Our engagement with political leadership will remain centred on the interests, welfare and future of Nigerian students in Ogun State.

We appreciate Senator Olamilekan Adeola YAYI for the interventions recorded so far and look forward to seeing greater commitment and more impactful initiatives for students and young people across Ogun State.
