The member representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan-Bungudu, has appreciated the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Stakeholders and delegates over the successful conduct of peaceful, credible, as well as free and fair primaries in Zamfara state.

The representative made the commendation while addressing journalists in Gusau. He expressed satisfaction over the exercise and wished such professional coordination be replicated in the 2027 general elections.

Zannan-Bungudu expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah, who has helped him to win the exercise. He appreciated the delegates of Maru and Bungudu Local Government Areas for their massive votes that have made him emerge as the winner of the primaries. Urging them to sustain the same vigor at the 2027 general elections.

He described his victory as a collective achievement, acknowledging the roles of party stakeholders, Constituents, and the delegates who supported his ambition.

In his words, Zannan-Bungudu appreciated the Almighty Allah for the gift of life, good health, and strength to participate in the 2026 party primaries, commending the leadership of APC in his constituency and state in general for the confidence reposed in him.

Zannan-Bungudu said his experience in the National Assembly has strengthened his capacity, citing his records and contributions to the legislature.

The lawmaker commended the effort of the Stakeholders and supporters from his constituency over the N130 million donation raised with intentions to purchase the nomination form for him. He pledged a recompense of an outstanding empowerment scheme for everyone who took the initiative to support his mandate.

Zannan-Bungudu disclosed in his words that more funds would be added to the contributed amount, initially meant for the purchase of form, and redirected it for surprising gifts.

“I was surprised when I heard about the contribution. I have decided that the money will be used for Sadaqah Jariyah, so that everyone who contributed will benefit from the reward,” he explained.

Looking ahead to the general election, Zubairu called for unity among party members and supporters, including those who contested against him in the primaries.

“We need everyone’s support going forward. Elections are not a one-man affair. I appeal to all stakeholders to come together so that our party can succeed at all levels,” he said.

He further urged his constituents to continue praying for him and supporting his efforts, emphasizing that their backing remains crucial to achieving greater development in the constituency.
