The Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Benue State Chapter Hon. Mrs. Helen Pine Agaigbe has dismissed in its entirety the Social media report making around that the incumbent Governor of Benue State Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia’s name is not among Governorship Aspirants participating in the APC Governorship Primaries on Thursday.
Mrs. Agaigbe also disclosed that Governor Alia’s Governorship contest is intact as his name was announced second on the list of Governorship Aspirants to participate in the Primaries, describing the reports as false, baseless and unfounded fashioned by opposition elements who never meant well for the State.
The woman Leader debunked the social media report while Fielding questions from Journalists at the APC Secretariat on Thursday shortly after the distribution of Governorship primary elections materials across the 23 local government areas of the State.
She acknowledged the unwavering support and commitment of APC faithfuls to Governor Alia’s and enjoined them to remain focused and steadfast towards ensuring the victory of all APC candidates from the president to National Assembly and States Assembly in the forthcoming general elections.
The woman Leader urged lossers in the Primaries to accept defeat in good faith with the conviction that all party decisions are supreme for the overall good and progress of the party.
“Benue State under Governor Alia’s administration is doing the needful as manifested in the speedy transformation of the State in all sectors, therefore need to be reciprocated in the 2027 Governorship elections to consolidate on the good works that he is doing.” She maintained.
Mrs. Agaigbe also pointed out that the recruitment of 9,700 primary school teachers by Governor Alia’s administration to provide adequate teachers to public schools in the State that teachers were grossly inadequate.
