The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), in partnership with NESPAK, SUMEC, and the African Development Bank (AfDB), held a public sensitization campaign in Rimin Zakara, Kano, on the ongoing 330kV Mando–Rimin Zakara Transmission Line Project on November 4, 2025.

Speaking at the event, TCN’s Assistant General Manager, Transmission, Kano Region, Engr. Ibrahim Aliyu, urged residents to protect the transmission corridor and reminded them that structures erected after the valuation exercise would not be eligible for compensation.

The AfDB representative, Ibrahim Muhammad, called on traditional leaders to support the awareness campaign and assured that verified property owners would receive due compensation.

The Village Head of Rimin Gata pledged full community support, noting the project’s potential to improve electricity supply, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth in the state.
