Insecurity/High Profile Assasinations; Onyekwere Ifeanyi, 39-Years-Old In Hiding
Emphatically, Onyekwere Ifeanyi, 39 Years old, from Aba, Abia State, is in hiding due to insecurity and activities of unknown gunmen. lt was reported that many residents, including those of Onyekwere Ifeanyi have fled the area to seek asylum elsewhere for fear of being killed or kidnapped by dangerous cult groups, bandits and other criminal groups operating as unknown gun men in his area, despite Government efforts in combating crimes, criminal groups keeps rising on Daily Basis here.
His ordeal started on 2nd March, 2024; when he was working as a Bar-man at Grand Lotto Hotel, Ehi Road, Aba, Abia State between the hours of 9-10pm when rival cult groups clashed while trying to kidnap somebody and eventually killed the victim when he was trying to run away and many other people received various degrees of injuries.
When police later arrived at the spot, the criminals had all escaped with their expensive cars. Onyekwere Ifeanyi then gave police information about the Bandits, and the police went after them.
According to Onyekwere Ifeanyi, He narrated, “I was surprised to see the criminals banging at our house at midnight the next day, shooting sporadically into the air, shouting that l reported them to police and that they must deal with me as a saboteur”.
My father’s house was attacked and part of it was burnt, but my wife and I and our two kids managed to escape through our back door.”
In fact, they repeated the same twice, one week later, still searching for him to deal with him as they eliminate those who report them to the police and military. Members of those Dangerous groups see him now as a saboteur, passing information to police and military to be eliminated as a saboteur.
He was lucky to have survived three elimination attempts before he finally escaped the country with the help of his uncle, who sold a parcel of land to pay for his transportation and flight ticket.
Authorities or countries that may have him in their custody should please ensure his safety and grant Him protection as his return home will end his life abruptly, as He will certainly face persecution and Death upon return or Deportation.
