The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has organized a two-day training session of the Women in Self-Employment Programme (WISE-P).
The program, which took place at Gally House Secretariat, Awka, on the 7th to 9th of May, 2025, aimed to offer training that enhances skills and knowledge of entrepreneurs in areas like business management, branding,, and packaging of products and financial literacy.
A frontline Senatorial Aspirant under the platform of Young Progressive Party(YPP) and a Business Development Service Provider expert, Prince Samben Nwosu, while addressing the women present at the training section enlightened the participants of the support and collaboration of Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) in negotiating better deals for small scale businesses in Nigeria.
He went further to narrate how SMEDAN would initiate better grants to lift small-scale enterprises in Nigeria.
Nwosu disclosed that the federal government is currently poised to grow small businesses in Nigeria, adding that his representation would ensure that his people would benefit massively from the empowerment programs designed by the federal government of Nigeria.
“As you all know, I have been doing it for others, including during the days of Sure-P, and how much more now that I am a BDSP, and I am currently vying for Senate in Anambra South Senatorial district,,” he stressed.
He ended by insisting that his practice license to qualify people for grants as a BDSP would do tremendous mobilization for their people to benefit from federal government grants greatly.
Prince Samben Nwosu, who was inaugurated as a Business Development Service Provider (BDSP) by SMEDAN at its headquarters in Abuja on Monday, is currently contesting for the Senate in the Anambra South Senatorial district to replace late Senator Ubah of the YPP.
