NAU inducts 87 human physiology graduates

Department of Human Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Nnewi Campus has inducted 87 graduates into the Professional Association of Practicing Clinical Physiologists in Nigeria in a ceremony held at the College Auditorium, NAU, Nnewi Campus, on Wednesday, 11th June,2025.

The event, which was the 3rd Induction/oath-taking ceremony, was themed “Beyond The Classroom: Navigating Career Paths” and was fully graced by dignitaries from various sectors.

Among the dignitaries present were: the Igwe of Nnewi, His Royal Highness Igwe K.O.N Orizu lll been represented by the crown Prince, Prince Obianefo Charles Obi Orizu, the keynote speaker, Prince Samben Nwosu, Cornel Osigwe and others.

In her address, Prof. Carol Arinze-Umeobi, Ag. Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, represented by the Provost, College of Health Sciences, Prof. JKC Emejulu, thanked the parents and relatives of the inductees for standing by them all through the journey.

He encouraged them to stay afresh to develop themselves for growth, wealth, power and authority, charging them to look ahead, keep dreaming and work toward achieving their dreams.

He reminded them not to forget their professional body and prayed that they would be successful in life.

Delivery the keynote address, the Business Development Service Provider (BDSP), Prince Samben Nwosu emphasized that the theme of the ceremony, “Beyond the Classroom: Navigating Career Paths,” was more than a phrase.

He reminded the inductees that their academic journey has equipped them with solid foundation in physiology, but the walls beyond demand more.

Prince Nwosu outlined some key qualities they need to face the walls beyond as; adaptability, resilience, and willingness to learn and grow.

He further pointed out some of the insights that would equipp the inductees to effectively navigate their career paths as; being open to exploration, developing transferable skills, networking and building relationships, staying curious, and lifelong learning, and being resilient and adaptable.

He encouraged them to believe in themselves, their abilities and potentials.A Senatorial Aspirant for the forthcoming Anambra South Senatorial by-election, ended by congratulating the inductees and prayed that they would make their institution, family and society proud.

In his remarks, the Dean,Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof.Vincent Igbokwe warmly congratulated the inductees for the milestone .

“You have persevered through the rigors of academic life and emerged ready to contribute meaningfully to science,medicine ,research, and society at large.

“The knowledge and skills you have acquired within the walls of Nnamdi Azikiwe University have prepared you well, but your future now lies beyond these well” he said.

Igbokwe urged them to carry with them the values of excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning.

He confidently stated that he believed in them and that they would represent the institution with distinction.
