Edo Deputy Gov, Idahosa, strengthens security in Ovia Southwest LGA

Edo state deputy governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, on Friday donated three Sienna vehicles and two motorcycles for the use of security personnel in Ovia South West local government as part of an effort to improve the security architecture of the area.

Idahosa used the occasion to reiterate Sen. Monday Okpebholo’s administration’s commitment to securing lives and properties in the state.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor, commended the acting Chairman of the council, Hon. Charles Edobor, for his foresight in actualizing the governor’s vision to safeguard his people.

Idahosa noted that deploying the vehicles and motorcycles to patrol the area by security agencies will enhance the security of lives and properties.

The deputy governor advised him to always consider the interests and well-being of his people in every project he initiates.

He further said that the council chairman displayed grit and tenacity by making the legislative arm of the council functional and active, including the provision of an operational vehicle.

To complement the hard work by Edobor for his resilience in ensuring the development, peace, and prosperity of the Ovia people.

The deputy governor also carried out the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a block of six classrooms at Udo Primary School.

He praised the council boss for facilitating the construction of the classrooms.

He used the occasion to call for cooperation from the local, state, and federal governments to make life meaningful for the people.

The council chairman, Edobor, commended the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their support that led to the execution of these projects.
