Insurgency: Kebbi Gov donates N10m to families of two police officers killed by Lakurawa sect

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has donated the sum of N10 million to the families of two police officers who lost their lives following an attack by Lakurawa sect at Natsini village of Augie Local Government Area of the state recently.
Presenting the donation to the Commissioner of Police in Kebbi State alongside families of the deceased, the governor urged the family members to take heart and accept the will of God Almighty in good faith.
The governor, who was represented by the State Director of security, Abdulrahman Usman, and Danko Wasagu Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu-Bena, reiterated the commitment of the state government to improve the welfare of security agencies serving in the state.
This, he said, is because of their efforts in the fight against terrorists and other criminal elements in the state, adding that their gallant efforts in combating crimes and criminalities in the state would never go unnoticed.
The governor said each of the two families would receive N5 million on behalf of the state government and prayed to God Almighty to give the families the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
Responding on behalf of the deceased families, the state commissioner of police, CP Bello M. Sani, appreciated the governor’s efforts in supporting security agencies in the state to discharge their duties diligently.
He said the donation would go a long way in supporting the families of the deceased officers who died in active service of protecting their motherland.
The commissioner urged the families to make good use of the donation.
It could be recalled that two police officers, ASP Bala Audu and Inspector Bashar Mohammed, lost their lives recently following an attack by the Lakurawa sect at Natsini village in Augie LGA of Kebbi State.
