Suspected lesbian lynched, escaped being killed by mob

A woman simply identified as Sandra was said to have been recently attacked by some youth for allegedly being a lesbian.
The incident was said to have reportedly happened around Mabushi area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
A neighbour who was said to have monitored the 40-year-old for some time raised the alarm when she allegedly caught Sandra and one of her partners in the act.
It was gathered that while the visiting partner escaped from the scene, Sandra was not so lucky as some youth from the neighbourhood descended on her and was almost killed but for the intervention of the police.
Sandra reportedly during interrogation said that one Justina Daudu was the leader of the group of lesbians in the area and had reportedly gone underground to avoid the probing eyes of the police.
She was said to have told the police that Justina Daudu told her sometimes ago that she suspected that she was being monitored and had warned her (Sandra) too to lie low to avoid any brush with the law of the land
Our Correspondent gathered that the police have launched manhunt for Justina Daudu who is believed to be a strong influence among the circles of LGBTQ community in the country.
