Gov Otu’s Chief Of Staff, six Commissioners receive National Leadership Awards

The Chief of Staff to Cross River State Governor, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, and Seven Commissioners serving in the administration of Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu have been recognized for their noble contribution to making the administration a success by the National Leadership Awards in Abuja. 

The ceremony which took place in Abuja and attended by the Chief of staff himself, HON. Emmanuel Ironbar, in company with the Commissioners for Health, Education, Works, Information, Finance and Youths and Sports Development, attracted distinguished Cross  Riverians, including National Assembly members, elder Statesman such as Senators Eteng Jonah Williams, Asuquo Ekpenyong, Rt. HON. Mike Etaba, HON. Joseph Bassey, HON.Patrick Abang, Hon.Emil Inyang, Chief Pius Tawo, and Sir Maurice Effiwatt, the state Head of Service, plus all the 18 Councils Chairmen. 

Speaking at the occasion the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Chief Perry Opara explained that the selection committee of the National Leadership Awards identified the Cross River State leaders on their significant contribution to success in making Governor Otu’s broader development of the state a great pillar while describing that, “these honorees have demonstrated outstanding leadership and commitment to improving their various Ministries and the state at large. 

He also narrated that the National Leadership Awards is known for celebrating individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the growth of society across various sectors of life for the past 22 years, and they have also inspired dedication to render effective public service delivery. 

Chief Opara further urged the receiptspeens to continue in their efforts to ensure both the growth of their state and the nation. 

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, the Chief of Staff, HON. Ironbar expressed gratitude for the recognition and gave the credit so far recorded to the Governor, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu for the success of the administration because he is the Governor who is a thorough breed and all-rounder at the helm of affairs who motivates us to be proactive in our roles to ensure every part of the state experience progress. 

He promised that the awards would serve as a catalyst for even greater commitment to service because they have the understanding that the core purpose of public service is to serve the people.
