Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has been returned elected as APC Kebbi Central Senatorial candidate in the 2023 elections.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu polled four hundred and forty five votes to clinch the ticket in the primary election conducted at the Haliru Abdu Stadium Birnin Kebbi, this Saturday.
A member of the Election Committee from the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, Hon. Dorah Ebongi assisted by Hon. Kelechi Njoku who declared the result of the primary election commended delegates and party supporters for the transparent and peacefully conduct of the polls.
The State Chairman of the Election Committee for APC Kebbi Central Senatorial Zone, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami SAN commended the delegates for exhibiting the spirit of democracy and orderliness throughout the process of the election.
Kebbi Central Senatorial District comprises of eight local government areas of Aliero, Birnin Kebbi, Jega, Gwandu, Maiyama, Koko/Besse, Bunza and Kalgo.
In his acceptance speech, the winner of the primary election, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu thanked Allah for the victory, and commended the APC National Committee for Kebbi Senatorial Primaries, INEC, Security Agencies, Media and Delegates for their contribution towards the smooth conduct of the polls.
Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu extended an olive branch to aggrieved persons to come together to ensuring victory of the APC in 2023 to enhance the practice of democracy and the growth of Kebbi state.
He promised to perform creditably in the senate and thanked President Muhammadu Buhari and APC National Secretariat for ensuring that Kebbi state remained one of the vibrant states in the federation.
In a remark, the Zonal Vice Chairman APC Kebbi Central, Abubakar Bello Bunza said the people of the zone decided to vote for Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu as senatorial candidate in 2023 because of his good quality and record of achievement in all sectors of human endeavour.
