The Executive Chairman of Gbonyin Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State, Hon Benedict Oluwadamilare Ajayi, has extended his greetings to the residents of the council area and the good people of Ekiti state in general on the occasion of the New Year celebration
The council boss, in a message signed by the Director of Information and Civic Orientation of the Council Area, Mr Omotayo Peter, rejoices with the people for witnessing another new year despite ups and downs in the just concluded year.
He called on the people to make the most of this new year by setting new goals and putting strategies in place to achieve the goals.
The chairman appreciates the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, for helping him facilitate developmental projects aimed at engendering progress, development, and growth of the council area.
Also, Ajayi thanked the monarchs of the three major towns in the council area Oba Solomon Omotoyinbo, the Apalufin of Aisegba, Oba Adebanji Aladesuyi, Onijan of Ekiti, Oba Gbenga Adetiba, Ajagun of Iluomoba Ekiti for their support and words of encouragement in the just concluded year and urged them to sustain the support in this new year.
Additionally, he appreciates the entire management and staff of the council area for their dedication and commitment to duty in the just concluded year. He called on them in this new year to be more efficient and effective in discharging their duties.
The council boss promised the good of the council area that their interest, welfare, and well-being would remain his firm commitment, mission, and purpose throughout this new year.
Speaking further, Ajayi assured that his administration would continue to implement policies, programs, and projects that have a direct and positive impact on them.
He appealed to them to pay their taxes and other revenues promptly in this new year in a bid to fast-track development.
While wishing the residents of the council area a peaceful and prosperous new year, he called on them to be security conscious in this new year.
