Don’t make yourself vulnerable to fire outbreaks, Adamolekun warns residents

The Executive Chairman of Ikere Local Government, Hon. (Sqn Ldr Rtd) Olu Egbejoda Adamolekun, has urged residents to exercise caution and avoid actions that might lead to a fire outbreak, emphasizing the importance of fire safety precautions. This appeal follows a tragic fire that severely damaged the home of Mrs. Toyin Orilele, located behind Amoye Grammar School in Oke-Osun Ikere.
In response to the incident, Chairman Adamolekun promptly visited Mrs. Orilele, providing her with financial assistance and a mattress to aid in her recovery. Recognizing the long-term effects of such disasters, he has also reached out to the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to secure additional relief materials for her.
Chairman Adamolekun expressed his sympathy to Mrs. Orilele and urged all residents to exercise heightened caution, especially during this season. “Please avoid anything that could cause a fire outbreak. Be extra careful, keep flammable materials away from heat sources, practice safe cooking, and use electrical appliances responsibly to deter similar tragedies in the future.”
