The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) WhatsApp channel has officially achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 50,000 subscribers, effectively securing the top spot as the most-followed digital broadcast channel among all security agencies in Nigeria.
This remarkable feat represents a massive leap forward in modern institutional communication, setting a new benchmark for public engagement and transparency within the nation’s security landscape.
By providing real-time, verified updates directly to citizens, the platform has successfully transformed into a highly trusted digital hub for information.
This groundbreaking digital platform was conceptualized and launched under the strategic leadership of the 24th Commandant of the Nigeria Police Academy, AIG Patrick Adedeji Atayero, MSc, MBA, psc, mspsp.
Recognizing the urgent need for a direct and counterfeit-free communication stream, AIG Atayero prioritized digital modernization as a key pillar of his administrative agenda.
The rapid growth and ultimate success of this initiative align perfectly with the overarching vision of the 23rd Indigenous Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM.
As a visionary leader and a constant source of encouragement across the force, IGP Disu has consistently championed the adoption of technology to improve police-public relations.
The Academy’s ability to stand at the apex of all security organization channels is a direct reflection of his reformative policies and emphasis on digital-first public engagement.
While we celebrate this monumental achievement, digital media observers and the public warmly congratulate the leadership, media department, and cadets of the Nigeria Police Academy.
Moving forward, the Academy is highly encouraged to extend this exact level of dedication, creativity, and consistency to its other official social media handles, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram.
Replicating this massive success across all digital fronts will ensure that POLAC maintains its position as the undisputed leading voice in security education and public public relations throughout West Africa.
