Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has emerged as one of the biggest winners at the 2026 NOG Energy Week, securing the prestigious Energy Awards 2026 Operational Excellence Award in recognition of its outstanding operational performance and commitment to safety, efficiency and sustainable business practices.

The award was presented during the 25th anniversary edition of NOG Energy Week, held from July 5 to 9, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, where policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, investors and technology providers gathered to chart the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.

The Operational Excellence Award honours organisations that demonstrate exceptional achievements in process optimisation, operational reliability, efficiency, cost management and sustainable business performance.

NLNG maintained a strong presence throughout the week-long conference and exhibition, participating in high-level discussions on gas development, sustainability, innovation, operational excellence and Nigeria’s role in strengthening global energy security.

Company representatives also engaged key stakeholders on strategies to enhance collaboration and drive the growth of the country’s energy industry.
Industry observers described the recognition as a testament to NLNG’s consistent investment in world-class asset management, operational discipline and a strong safety culture.

The award also highlights the dedication of the company’s workforce, whose commitment has enabled NLNG to maintain reliable LNG supply to international markets while supporting domestic gas utilisation.

Beyond its operational achievements, NLNG continues to make significant contributions to Nigeria’s economy through local content development, revenue generation and strategic investments that support national growth.

The latest recognition comes as the company advances key expansion projects, including the Train 7 Project, aimed at increasing production capacity and strengthening Nigeria’s position in the global liquefied natural gas market.

With the latest honour, NLNG has further reinforced its reputation as one of Africa’s leading energy companies, remaining committed to operational excellence, innovation and responsible business practices while supporting Nigeria’s drive to harness its vast natural gas resources for economic growth, industrialisation and a sustainable energy future.

The 2026 NOG Energy Week concluded with renewed calls for greater collaboration, innovation and investment to unlock Africa’s vast energy potential, with NLNG’s award standing out as one of the event’s notable highlights.
