The Zamfara state chapter All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal has convened a high-level Stakeholders’ Meeting, resolving concretely and unanimously to back the second term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Lawal, endorsing the state party leadership in preparation for 2027 general elections.

The meeting which took place at Government House in Gusau on Saturday, 25th April, 2026, brought together critical party leaders, elected officials, elders, youth and women representatives, as well as key stakeholders across the fourteen (14) Local Government Areas of the State.

The meeting provided a strategic platform for extensive deliberations on party unity, governance alignment, security imperatives, and preparations for forthcoming party activities and the 2027 General Elections.

The party Stakeholders reaffirmed total, unified, and unconditional loyalty to the leadership of the Party in Zamfara State under His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal.
Stakeholders resolved to consolidate internal cohesion, strengthen party structures, and ensure discipline at all levels in order to guarantee effective coordination, stability, and sustained progress within the Party.

The stakeholders formally endorsed the leadership and reform direction of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal, Governor of Zamfara State.

In a clear demonstration of unity, confidence, and strategic alignment, the meeting further resolved that the people of Zamfara State, in conjunction with the entire APC structure in the State, unequivocally support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.

Similarly, stakeholders unanimously endorsed and declared total support for the re-election of His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal, as Governor of Zamfara State in the 2027 General Elections, in recognition of his leadership, ongoing reforms, and commitment to security stabilization, economic recovery, and sustainable development.

This collective endorsement reflects a shared resolve to consolidate ongoing gains, ensure continuity of governance, and strengthen the delivery of democratic dividends at both national and sub-national levels.

Zamfara APC stakeholders resolved to work collectively and diligently towards the successful conduct of forthcoming party congresses and primary elections.
Stakeholders emphasized that all processes must be peaceful, transparent, inclusive, and conducted in strict compliance with the Party’s Constitution and established guidelines.

Nothing that, collective Responsibility for Party Growth and Electoral Success
Stakeholders pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization across all wards and Local Government Areas to further strengthen the APC’s presence.

Members were charged to work both individually and collectively towards ensuring the Party’s overwhelming success in all future electoral contests, particularly the 2027 General Elections.

The meeting expressed strong support for the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of the Federal Government and resolved to align state-level policies, programmes, and political messaging to reinforce its objectives of economic revitalization, social inclusion, and national security.

Recognizing the prevailing security challenges, particularly banditry and related criminal activities, stakeholders resolved to fully support the efforts of security agencies operating within the State, strengthen collaboration between communities and security institutions, Promote intelligence sharing and civic responsibility as part of a whole-of-society approach to restoring peace and stability.

The meeting emphasized the imperative of unity within the Party and called on all members to eschew divisive tendencies.
Mechanisms for conflict resolution and stakeholder engagement at all levels are to be reinforced in order to sustain harmony, discipline, and cohesion within the Party.
