Sophia Momodu, mother of Davido’s first daughter Imade, has shut down accusations that she prevented the child from attending the superstar’s birthday celebration.
The controversy erupted after a Snapchat user accused her of deliberately keeping Imade away from the event.
Responding sharply, Sophia said the viral stories were deliberately twisted to paint her as the villain in a co-parenting narrative she has never publicly fueled.
She insisted she has always acted as a protective mother, urging critics to stop dragging a minor into toxic online debates.
According to her, Imade’s privacy and emotional safety remain non-negotiable, and she will no longer tolerate lies weaponising her daughter.
She reminded the public that she has endured false narratives for a decade, but “Imade is not a bargaining chip.”
Imade was the only one of Davido’s children absent from the star’s 33rd birthday celebration over the weekend, a detail that ignited the backlash.
