Ahead of General Elections, NDC fixes new date for campaign council inauguration

By: Goodluck E. Adubazi, Abuja.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has rescheduled the unveiling and inauguration of its Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and National Campaign Council (NCC) to Monday, October 26, 2026.

The party’s leadership announced the new date in a statement issued on Monday, October 19, by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, Esq.

The event was initially scheduled to hold on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, but was postponed due to the tight schedule of the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, who has an important engagement overseas.

The party apologised for any inconvenience caused by the change in date and urged its members, supporters and stakeholders to remain focused on its electoral objectives.

It also called on party faithful to sustain their commitment to securing victory for Obi and all NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections.

Reaffirming its confidence in its political mission, the party declared: “A New Nigeria is Possible!”
