The Minister of State for Defence, Alhaji Bello Muhammed Matawalle has facilitated with the good people of Zamfara State over 30th anniversary since creation of the state reaffirmed his continued commitment to peace, economic growth and development of the state.
Matawalle stated this in a statement marking the 30th Anniversary of Zamfara state and Nigeria’s 66th Independence day.
According to the statement issued in Gusau on Thursday, signed by the Publicity Secretary, Matawalle Political Standing Committee (MPSC) Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau and made available to Journalists in the state capital.
The Minister commended the first Military administrator of the state, Col Jibril Bala Yakubu and other former civilian governors for their various contributions to the state at different interventions.
Matawalle thanked the Former Head of State late Gen. Sani Abacha for creating the state,
“May his soul rest in eternal peace”
“I want use this opportunity to felicitate with good people of Zamfara State over this 30th anniversary of creation of Zamfara State.
This is the right time to review development and the challenges of the state in 30 years since it’s creation and also to build a peaceful coexistence, togetherness, unity and progress.
The Minister also commended the elders and all stakeholders who work for the creation of the state.
Matawalle reiterated his commitment to continue to work towards development of Zamfara.
He assured the present administration in the state under Gov Dauda Lawal of his continued cordial working relationship.
He called on the people of the state to continue to work together and ensure love for one another.
We must embrace unity and peace for the development of our dear state.
Let us continue to be united, calm and hardworking and always work for the progress of our dear state.
Matawalle noted that the former leaders of the state contributed to the development of education, healthcare, economic empowerment, security sectors and even political awareness.
I believe the former leaders of the state contributed to the development of the state to the best on their capacity.
He commented people of the state for the support, commitments and perseverance despite the challenges of insecurity in the state for over a decade.
He called on the people of the State to continue to cooperate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration under the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Matawalle commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for executing the ongoing Zaria -Funtua-Gusau-Sokoto Dual carriage way.
The project if completed, to enhance economic capacity, transportation network and even security across North West States.
He expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC), will record tremendous victory in the state in the 2027 elections for North Western States.
While celebrating Zamfara’s 30th anniversary and Nigeria at 66 Independence we should also pray for President Bola Tinubu and leaders at all levels to continue to implement policies and programmes for the development our dear country.
He urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu/Shettima for second term in the 2027 general elections in order to gain the benefit of continuity in governance.
