Tompolo, Otuaro Targets Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Empowerment, Group tells Daniel Ezekiel, other critics

By: Bulou Kosin.

Activist Moses Mala-led Advocacy for Niger Delta Development, ANDD, says High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo and Dr Dennis Otuaro targets educational, socio-economic and political empowerment of Nigerians, not detention of disgruntled critics.

One Daniel Ezekiel had alleged Tompolo leverages Tantita resources for his militia deployed in violating human rights. But Mala retorted: “Where is proof of the militia? Is it Tantita’s workforce aided by abiding legitimate security operatives? What did Tompolo leverage on when he led massive volunteers in long years of agitation for freedom of his peoples before Federal Government Amnesty deal in 2009? Where Tantita resources then available?”

Insisting that massive Niger Delta admiration for Tompolo and Otuaro derive from their decent leadership, Mala said the duo neither tolerates deviants to noble cause of national socio-economic improvement nor are distracted from educational support for the poor, sustenance of Tantita’s higher staff pay, among surveillance companies and support for general security of the region, among other gestures.

“While we wait for Daniel Ezekiel to prove allegations he once stoutly defended, we know Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd with hardworking Dr Kestin Pondi as Managing Director, has posted visible, measurable results, hence improving Nigeria’s/Niger Delta economy”, Mala said, adding: “Calls for surveillance job decentralization, already done from inception by Tompolo, come from agents who want Nigeria’s economic gains destroyed”.

“Again, while disgruntled elements like Cletus Kwalekeme and Jude Gbabojor throw unverified tantrums, Dr Dennis Otuaro, Administrator, Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), proving to be embodiment of education, is iconic in advancing best quality education within Nigeria and abroad, for educationally downtrodden Ijaws and Niger Delta people. Otuaro’s engagement of Dr Bolatei Igali, Prof Ben Binebai and Ankio Briggs to talk to Amnesty students on their focus before departing Nigeria recently, was visionary leadership”, Mala informed.
