The Executive Chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers, NUT kebbi state chapter Comrade Zaki Sairki SK has lauded the Government of Kebbi state under the leadership of Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu for its invaluable contribution to the revamp and sustainable development of education in the state, calling on all schools’ administrators, Teachers and students/pupils to immediately commence educational activities as new academic session resumes on Monday, 14th September 2026.
The Chairman made this known in a statement issued to Journalists in Birnin Kebbi with the aim of encouraging and motivating all Stakeholders, parents and guardians to send their wards to schools as academic activities would commence on the first day of resumption without delay.
According to the statement, the Chairman said, on behalf of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT Kebbi State Council I, Comrade Zaki Sarki Sk, the State Chairman, heartily rejoice with the entire Kebbi State populace on the resumption of schools today, 14th September, 2026, for the commencement of a new academic session.
As we return to our classrooms, I urge all teachers, pupils, students, parents and school administrators to do the needful in ensuring that teaching and learning activities begin promptly and are carried out with diligence, commitment and the fear of God.
The Union wish to express its profound appreciation to the Kebbi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu for the continued support to the Education sector and to Teachers in Kebbi State. Your efforts in improving school infrastructure, teachers’ welfare and learning environment are greatly acknowledged and appreciated.
We also extend our gratitude to the entire Kebbi populace, for your support, cooperation and belief in the importance of education as the foundation of societal development.
To my fellow teachers, I urge us all to brace up and be abreast with all responsibilities bestowed on us. Let us rededicate ourselves to nation building through quality teaching, discipline, mentorship and the shaping of the future leaders of our dear state and country.
