As part of ongoing reforms to reward performance, strengthen service delivery and improve administrative efficiency within the legislative service, the Kano State House of Assembly Service Commission has approved the establishment of the Works Department and confirmed the following appointments to fill vacant and newly created positions:
Lawal Yusuf Sagagi, promoted from Assistant Director, Publication to Acting Director, Information and Publication.
Aminu Ahmad Yakubu, promoted from Assistant Director, Printing to Acting Director, Works and Physical Planning.
Murtala Yusuf, redeployed from Chief Legislative Officer to Acting Director, Protocol (to sit in).
In a statement, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore described the promotions as routine administrative exercises, noting that the officers were considered after serving the required periods and meeting the conditions for advancement.
The affected officers thanked the Speaker for his commitment to strengthening the workforce and enhancing legislative efficiency.
They expressed optimism about continuing to discharge their duties with greater dedication and professionalism in support of legislative services.
Falgore congratulated the newly appointed officers and wished them success in their respective assignments. He added that further measures are underway to ensure a conducive working environment and additional benefits for legislative staff.
