The people of Gudau-Jola community, in Gagarin Ward, Dawakin Tofa local government area sends save our souls message to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the repairs of their 2.5 km feeder road despite several appeals.
Our correspondent, who trekked from Dungurawa to Gudau-Jola Town, reported that the road is getting worse, especially during the rainy season, forcing the people of the area to trek or take another direction to return home even at night.
It is very pity that whenever the rainy season becomes more stable, the people of Gudau Jola and other villages surrounding the area remain closed due to a bad road, which is also unaffordable for vehicular movements, while the people take other road alternatives, which is very disturbing.
Malam Ahmadu Jola, who is also the spokeperson of the communities said that “We needs good road but our demand is still pending despite our numerous plea to see that the road is repairs to a good feeder road, and our efforts to ensure better democracy is always counting through our votes, and it is necessary for us to call on the kano state governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf to come to our aid”. He emphasized.
Ahmadu Jola added that the people of Gudau Jola, Yar Gudau, Zaura, Kirya, Kyauta Ruga Kyauta Fakko, Dan Amar, and some parts of Masha villages have used the road for decades, which needs government intervention, and he thanked Governor Abba Kabir for his commitment to changing the face of Kano state in every sector.
