Benue APC Presidential Primary: Gov Alia declares Tinubu winner, polled highest number of votes cast 375,566

Benue State Governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Coordinator/Collation Officer of the Presidential Primary election Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia on Saturday declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as the winner of the Benue State presidential primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Performing the declaration on Saturday at the APC Secretariat Makurdi in the presence of the national executive members of the party, political stakeholders, INEC official and the relevant security agencies, Governor Alia described the out come of the Primary elections as peaceful and successful, devoid of acrimony and commended party officials and members for their orderly conduct throughout the process.

The Governor disclosed that a total of 375,566 delegates and party members were accredited for the exercise across the 23 local government areas of the state.

He further declared that President Tinubu, who was in the race with Stanley Osifor polled the highest votes cast of 374,787 to emerge victorious in the Benue APC presidential primary.

Governor Alia stressed that the outcome of the Primary elections reflected the true confidence and support APC members of the State have for the President and his leadership.

He further appreciated members of the APC and all the stakeholders for their unwavering cooperation and commitment, that ensured the successes and smooth conduct of the exercise.
