The immediate past Speaker of the 10th Benue State House of Assembly and Honourable Member representing Gboko West Constituency, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has formally dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), and defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Makurdi.

Rt. Hon. Dajoh was received into the party by the leader of the PDP in Benue State and former Governor of the state, His Excellency, Chief Dr. Samuel Ortom.

Contained in a Press statement signed by Agber Kulugh, media Aide to the former Speaker on Wednesday and made available to Journalists explained that the development followed the resignation of the former Speaker from the All Progressives Congress (APC) after prolonged internal disagreement and inability to reconcile l.

In another development, Rt. Hon. Dajoh also attended the Peoples Democratic Party Senatorial Primary Election as a critical stakeholder of the party from Gboko, where Chief Mrs. Eunice Ortom was affirmed as the Benue North West Senatorial Candidate of the party.

The former Speaker restated his commitment to the politics of inclusiveness, unity, community development and most importantly, welfare of the people, stating that his political decisions will always be guided by the collective interest of the people of Gboko West and Benue State at large.
