Ahead of 2027 general elections, the leadership of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Nnewi North has declared support for Hon. Kingsley Obiukwu for the House of Representatives seat for Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, saying he would represent them well.

The endorsement, which had in attendance leadership of the party and party faithful within Nnewi North was on Saturday, May 9 at the Odogwu Hall in Obiofia Nnewichi.

Among the leadership of the party present were: ADC Chieftain, Barr. Benchuks Nwosu (Ogbalike), the Nnewi North party Chairman, Hon. Chijioke Ofordile and Secretary of the party, Nnewi North, Hon. Ndubuisi Tabugbo Unachukwu.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Barr. Benchuks Nwosu (Ogbalike Nnewi) called Obiukwu a worthy leader, who has demonstrated humility in all ramifications, noting that he did not see any propaganda in him.

“For the fact he has performed all the tasks I assigned to him with uttermost humility, I pray for him today. He will surely win the race” he prayed.

Benchuks said he built the party, ADC and would not leave what he has nurtured for years.

In response, Hon. Kingsley Obiukwu said his interest remains the interest of the people.

He disclosed that they have lined up projects, but security would be their top priority, adding that once there is security, other projects would fall in place.

He vowed to restore security in Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency.

“Once we achieve security, our economic hub will be opened for investments, Ifeanyi Ubah’ s stadium will be completed for economic growth.

“Our children will enjoy quality education because they are the future of tomorrow, farmers will be empowered and jobs would be created for our youths” he promised.
