Female employees of SanlamAllianz Nigeria, operating under the SanlamAllianz Women’s Network (SAWN), have marked the International Day of Education with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outreach at Gbara Community Senior Secondary School, Eti-Osa, Lagos, reinforcing the company’s commitment to inclusive education and community development.

The initiative, which benefited over 240 students, featured the donation of educational materials, care packs, and books to strengthen the school’s library resources. The engagement also provided an opportunity to motivate students to pursue academic excellence, resilience, and personal development, with emphasis on self-confidence and personal care.

Speaking during the outreach, President of the SanlamAllianz Women’s Network and Growth Manager, Alternate Distribution, SanlamAllianz Life Insurance, Ogechi Ekwosimba, said the network was created to empower women within the organisation while extending meaningful impact to host communities. She described education as a critical driver of sustainable development and long-term social progress.

Also addressing the students, Company Secretary and Head of Legal and Compliance, SanlamAllianz Life Insurance, Abimbola Lawson, highlighted education as a foundation for self-reliance and informed decision-making. She urged the students to embrace learning as a pathway to opportunity, integrity, and purposeful living.

The school’s principal, Mrs Abosede Oyewole, expressed appreciation to SanlamAllianz for the gesture, assuring that the donated items would be judiciously used to improve learning outcomes. She also prayed for the continued growth and success of the company.

SanlamAllianz noted that the initiative reflects its broader commitment to social responsibility, driven by active employee participation and aligned with its corporate values. The company said it would continue to support sustainable and inclusive development initiatives across Nigeria.

SanlamAllianz Nigeria emerged from the merger of Sanlam and Allianz in June 2025, bringing together two global insurance and financial services brands with operations across Africa. The company has since intensified its presence in Nigeria through strategic rebranding and community-focused interventions.
