Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has been conferred with another prestigious transformational leadership Golden Award in recognition of his exceptional performance in reforming the education sector, strengthening infrastructure, human resources department and improving security across the state.
According to the statement signed Ahmed Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Kebbi State Governor, it was confirmed that the award was presented by the Grace Of God Humanitarian World Forum at a ceremony held at kebbi liaison office Abuja.
The Grace of God Humanitarian World Forum Award, was bestowed on Governor Nasir Idris, in appreciation of his significant contributions to the welfare of women and children, particularly in the areas of Healthcare delivery, food security,infrastructure development, Education, Entrepreneurship, and social services.
While presenting the award, the Country Director, and Editor-in-Chief of the Next Magazine, Haruna Kabir Alfa, who represented the National President of the Forum, stated that the recognition was aimed at appreciating and encouraging the Governor for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the wellbeing of the people of Kebbi state and Nigeria at large.
“The race Of God Humanitarian World Forum, recognizes and celebrates selfless individuals who make meaningful difference in the lives of women and children regardless of political, religious or geographical boundaries. Such courageous leaders understand that women and children are the world’s most valuable assets” he said .
The event attracted NGO leaders from across the 36 states of Nigeria who gathered to celebrate Governor Nasir Idris’ remarkable achievements in governance.
Governor Idris was also commended for his decisive transformative role in ensuring the safe rescue and release of the last abducted school girls in Kebbi state, a milestone widely applauded by stakeholders.
“Governor Nasir’s passion for education has resulted in remarkable reforms and innovations in Kebbi State. Since assuming office, he has demonstrated unwavering commitment to providing access to quality education and improving the overall learning environment for students. These efforts align with the declaration of a state of emergency in the education sector,” the Country Director added.
In his response, Governor Nasir Idris expressed gratitude to the organisation for the honour and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to serving the people of Kebbi State.
“if you visit Kebbi State today, you will witness remarkable transformation across all sectors. I made a promise to change the narrative, and my administration remains committed to delivering good governance and sustainable development for our people,” the Governor stated.
