Bayelsa Media Network Award has conferred awards of excellence and recognition to individuals and organizations at the 7th Edition of the Ceremony under the distinguished Chairmanship of Elder Timi Kaiser Wilhelm Ogoriba at the Nigeria Union of Journalists Conference Hall, Bayelsa State Council on Friday, 26th December, 2025 with pomp and pageantry.
In his opening remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Elder Timi Kaiser Wilhelm Ogoriba commended the organizers for holding the awards in the festive season and thanked everyone for honouring the invitation saying that the essence of the award is to honour those that have excelled in different fields of human endeavours and spur them to do more in their endeavours.
He noted that award is a challenge to those honoured to do more stressing that the level of education obtained and the impact one make in society is a determinant of recognition.
The leading candidate for INC President,2026 Elder Timi Kaiser Wilhelm Ogoriba committed the ceremony to God, adding that society will be better if we walk in the fear of God and promote peaceful coexistence, and declared the programme open with a promise to sponsor the 8th Edition of the Award.He was accompanied by a retinue of very important personalities.
Delivering the Award Lecture titled” Cultural Re-awakening As A Panacea For Crass Materialism In Our Society” with focus on Izon Culture,the Registrar, University of Africa Toru-Orua, Dr. Akpoebi Adezi said the Izon way of life is communal in nature and contribute towards the development of society.
The Guest Lecturer noted that Izon people from time in memorial are not known for rituals to raise money and condemned primitive accumulation of wealth. He advised Izons to make gratitude and contentment a way of life in order to entrench moral rectitude and values
At the award ceremony, Amange- B.E Amangi bagged Clergy Man of the year award, Royal Man of the Year and Peace Advocate Award went to His Royal Highness Dr. Theophilus Moses, the Amadabo of Moku-Ama in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State,.
Elder Timi Kaiser Wilhelm Ogoriba received award of excellence as Izon Icon of the year.
In an interview with newsmen after receiving the award, Elder Timi Kaiser Wilhelm Ogoriba said he considers the award as very auspicious, particularly coming on the heels of his preparation to contest the 2026 Izon National Congress election which he noted is a moral booster and a harbinger of good things to come. The Elder Statesman and Izon National patriot thanked Bayelsa Media Network Award for considering him worthy of the award which he stated will spur him to do more to serve humanity.
Other awardees include; HRH Wariebi Jonah, best traditional ruler of the year, Dr. Mandela Paul Ogoun, best Entrepreneur of the year, Dr. Bannerman Ebitimitula Embiowei, Gospel Artist of the year, David West, the Masses Advocate Award, Ruth Egbejule, On-Air Personality of the year award, Hyacinth Ogele, popularly know as DJ Tomdigi, best DJ, Daukoru Grey, best TV reporter health, Mrs.Oruh, best Proprietor of the year, best discovery school, Rhema Heritage International, Chris Mark, Deinkoru, best reporter print, Eunice Nnachi, most outstanding NGO, the CDC of Amarata Community,Elder Victor Yenevie also appreciated BMNA for the Award.Dr Reuben Awari – George also received Ambassador of the Year Award and Pastor Amange got Clergyman of the year award .

The Project Manager of Bayelsa Media Network Award, Blessing Matthew Ozegbe in his closing remarks expressed gratitude to God for the success of the award ceremony and thanked the nominees for accepting the award saying that the next year will be better and bigger.
