Pep Guardiola has sent a chilling warning to Arsenal and the rest of the title hopefuls.
The Manchester City boss spoke after his side dismantled Crystal Palace 3-0 on Sunday.
Erling Haaland bullied his way to the opener before Phil Foden doubled the advantage after the break.
Haaland then rubbed salt into Palace’s wounds with a second goal from the penalty spot.
The win pulls City to within two points of leaders Arsenal and leaves them breathing down everyone’s necks.
“We’re not at our top yet,” Guardiola told reporters, almost smirking.
“We’re not in an ideal position; we prefer to be first, but we are close,” he added.
He also brushed aside domestic doubts, insisting City remain well placed in the Champions League despite earlier setbacks.
