Music mogul Don Jazzy has clarified a resurfaced story about an incident in the UK, after former associate Bankulli claimed he once fled an accident scene and evaded the police.

Bankulli recently told an audience that a young Don Jazzy abandoned a wrecked car, removed its plate number, and ran to avoid expensive fines.

He narrated that Don Jazzy had fallen asleep while driving home from a show in London, crashed his car, and disappeared before police could act, an anecdote that immediately went viral.

According to the story, Don Jazzy escaped because towing fees outweighed the car’s value, a tale many interpreted as a desperate survival move from an artist struggling abroad.

When an X user warned that the disclosure could reopen old police files if Don Jazzy visited the UK, panic spread among fans.

But in his response, Don Jazzy debunked the dramatic version, saying Bankulli simply misremembered the past.

He insisted he did not flee; instead, he waited for the police, took a breathalyser test, and was cleared of drunkenness before officers impounded the cheap vehicle.

The producer said he abandoned the car only because retrieving it cost more than the car itself, joking that the entire story had been exaggerated into folklore.
