The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), under the visionary leadership of Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi mni OFR has arrested a score of suspects supplying fuel for bandits in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by ASCII Umar Mohammed M, CD PRO, Zamfara to Journalists in Gusau saying that, NSCDC is poised to ensure elements of criminality are reduced or possibly expunged from the society.
Tuesday, 9th September, 2025, the state command brings before you, the parade of suspected PMS popularly known as fuel or petrol intended for dark spot of Jangebe village of Talata Mafara LGA of Zamfara state in large quantity, violating the national and state executive orders.
The divisional corps office in Talata Mafara LGA after arresting the suspects and due findings, transferred the case to the state headquarters for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The suspects were apprehended on the 5th September, 2025.

During the preliminary investigations, the suspects confessed the following:
1. the PMS was apprehended along T/Mafara – Jangebe axis,
2. fuel (PMS) were acquired from Siddi Daki Takwas filling station Danbaza of Maradun LGA,
3. a total of one thousand two hundred and sixty (1260) litres were apprehended without operating licence/clearance from due authority ( Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs),
4. at a cost of nine hundred and thirty, (930) naira per litre,
5. total cost of one million, one hundred and seventy-one thousand, eight hundred (1,171,800) naira only,
6. the PMS was intended for Jangebe village of T/Mafara LGA,
7. a village harbouring bandits and banditry activities,
Further investigations revealed other suspects:
1. Aliyu Muhammad ’M’ 36yrs (Manager)
2. Tukur Wambai ‘M’ 45yrs
3. Abdullah Tukur ‘M’ 22yrs
4. Yahaya Said ‘M’ 20yrs
NSCDC has zero tolerance for criminal conspiracy, criminality and any unethical activities the federation term unruly; any suspect apprehended shall face astute investigation and upon completion will be arraigned before a competent court of law for necessary prosecution with immediate effect.
In accordance with the federal and state executive orders, there are restrictions and regulations governing purchase of petroleum products; in light of these directives, the state command under the initiative headship of commandant Sani Mustapha devised proactive measures of curtailing the incessant activities ravaging the state security through the supplies of petroleum products and edibles. Urban and rural itinerary (routes) within the state have been efficiently marked across the three (3) senatorial districts with the aim of eradicating cases of criminal conspiracy and banditry with utmost professionalism.
