The newly posted Controller of Correctional Service Zamfara State Command, CCS Murtala Muhammad Haruna, has paid a Courtesy visit to the Emir of Gusau his Royal highness, Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello Sarkin Katsinan Gusau at the Emirate Council Palace Kanwuri in Gusau the Capital.
Speaking during the visit, Controller Murtala Muhammad, expressed appreciation to the Emir for his fatherly role and unwavering support to the Correctional Service, particularly in promoting peace and stability within the Community.
He noted that, Correctional Service thrives better with the cooperation of traditional institutions and assured of his commitment to strengthen the existing synergy between Nigeria Correctional Service, NCoS and the Emirate Council for the benefit of the society.
Controller Murtala, used the opportunity to condole the Emir and the traditional institution over the loss of the late Emir Dr Ibrahim Bello, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau who recently passed away and prayed God Almighty to grants his soul perfect peace and paradise.
He also congratulates the Emir Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, Sarkin Katsinan Gusau for his appointment as the new Emir of Gusau.
In his Response, The Emir Welcomed the newly posted Controller and pledged continued support of the Emirate Council to NCoS in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities, especially in the areas of Reformation, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of offenders.
Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Bello, urged the Controller to carry every of his staff along and run and inclusive leadership style for the progress of the service.
In a related department, The Director of Department of state Services (DSS) Zamfara State Command NT Bello, paid a Courtesy visit to the new Controller of Corrections, Nigerian Correctional Service Zamfara State Command (CCS) Murtala Muhammad Haruna, at the State Headquarters office Federal Secretary Complex Gusau to Strengthen tie between the agencies
During the visit, the DSS director, NT Bello Commended the Correctional Service for its vital role in the administration of criminal justice and the maintenance of internal security in Zamfara State.
He stressed the importance of synergy among security agencies to effectively tackle emerging security challenges.
The DSS Boss, further stated that he will send his personnel to discuss ways and modalities to assist in managing threats in securing Custodial Centers.
In his Response, the Controller of Correctional Service Zamfara State Command, Murtala Muhammad, Welcomed the DSS director alongside his management team, and expressed appreciation for the long standing cooperation between the two agencies.
CCS, Murtala Muhammad assured that NCoS remains committed to strengthening the partnership in intelligence sharing, Capacity building, and joint operations to enhance public safety in the state.
Both Services pledged to sustain the collaboration in order to achieve a more secure and peaceful environment as well as maintaining security presence at the Correctional centers across the state.
