Ichida Community endorses Ukachukwu, insists he is their kith
...Ukachukwu pledges agric grant, eliminate insecurity, boost economy

Ichida community in Anaocha Council of Anambra State at the weekend and it’s New Yam festival and their annual International Delegates Conference became the one hundred sixty -one community to endorse Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship hopeful for the November 8, 2025 Anambra governorship election with a standing ovation when the received him in their midst.
Earlier the traditional ruler of the community – Igwe Charles Ezeudogu while receiving him in his palace described Ukachukwu as a worthy son of Anambra Anaocha Council area who has distinguished himself in everything he has set to do in life and in every part of the world.
That he has been a friend and pillar of strength and pride to many Anambra youths worldwide businessmen and families for decades.
He and his people has no problem pledging their support for him in the governorship ambition. He described Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu as a versatile successful industrialist who has thrived commendably
The President General of the community in his remarks reiterated their genealogical trace and relationship from the Igwulube Okotu clan who naturally looks out for one another. He therefore assures him of the full support of Okotu Clan.
The community’s Youth Leader, Mr Chukwuemeka Ezenwaka, assured Prince Ukachukwu of the full support, stressing that young people’s backing as support was principally because of his personality and track record asa versatile investor rather than empty political promises. That they were convinced that he would replicate his widely acknowledged youth-friendly investment model in the state when he becomes the governor.
According to Ezenwaka, “We are not voting for party symbols, we are voting for Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu,” he emphasized.
Hon (Mrs) Genevieve Ekwochi, an APC stalwart in the area, and Pastor Ikeme Nwokedi, a prominent member of the community, urged mass mobilisation in support of Ukachukwu in the whole community, Anaocha Council area and the State ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship polls.
Nwokedi described Prince Ukachukwu as “a man of his words” who speaks as a redeemed Christian. He therefore cautioned voters against any form of inducement. Hear him, “Come November 8, 2025, vote APC, and that is voting for Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu. His success begins with you canvassing for him,” he said.
Ukachukwu pledged to prioritise security, economic transformation, and mass community development as part of his agenda for a prosperous Anambra State, once, he’s elected governor of the State in the November 2025 election.
Prince Ukachukwu, popularly known as Ikukuoma,(Wind of Glory) assured to jet the ground running from day One at his inauguration as governor of Anambra State after the Nov 8 election.
Prince Ukachukwu who spoke during his visit to Ichida in Anaocha Local Government Area, at the weekend where he met with community leaders, youth groups, women associations and party supporters pledged to accord their indigenes prominent positions in his cabinet. That even citizen of Anambra remains equal stakeholders in the administration he would lead, hence must be given a sense of belonging at all times.
Ukachukwu pointed out that insecurity remained the state’s biggest challenge and must be tackled head-on.
He admitted that “No society thrives where there is insecurity. We must first secure lives and property before securing the economy,” he said. Anambra is known for manufacturing and trades and we will encourage policies that support what our people do best.”
Other key areas of focus according to him include security, electricity, agriculture, and infrastructure.
That he would leverage the state’s abundant gas deposites in Ayamelum and other parts of the state to improve power generation and distribution. He described electricity as the “key to transforming the economy.”
On infrastructure in the area among others, Prince Ukachukwu promised to rehabilitate and expand the long-neglected road linking Nnewi South, Anaocha, and Njikoka, with Ichida at its centre. He said the project would not only involve repairs but dualisation and the construction of additional routes to ease movement, open up communities, and significantly boost economic activities across the three local governments.
The governorship hopeful vowed to revolutionise agriculture in the entire state through sustainable value chain, noting that farming could provide jobs, ensure food security and tame youth restiveness
He supported the community’s healthcare project with princely donation and promised to install more solar-powered streetlights at strategic points within the community.
Madam Appollonia Osigwe praised an earlier streetlight project in the community by Prince Ukachukwu for improving businesses, night life and security especially at night. She urged women in the community to vote en masse for Prince Ukachukwu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming November 8, 2025 governorship election.
