The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has assured the people of Ka’oje that construction of the road from Ka’oje-Maje would soon commence.
He gave the assurance when he inspected a bridge along Ka’oje to Maje road which is at the stage of collapse.
The governor said: “The present administration will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the road is constructed with a view to easing the transportation plights of the people.”
The Ka’oje road which shares border with two countries of Benin and Niger Republics is the major route that links Nigeria with the two countries.
“I will ensure that the road is constructed, so as to boost economic activities among the three countries,” he said.
The governor had also inaugurated a central Mosque constructed by the member, representing Suru/Bagudo federal constituency, Hon. Bello Ka’oje.
Gov. Idris urged other elected and political office holders to borrow a leave from the lawmaker to give their constituents a sense of belonging.
He lauded Hon. Bello Ka’oje for his efforts in providing dividends of democracy to his people and urged him to sustain the tempo.
Responding, the lawmaker appreciated the governor for associating himself with the development of the people of the area.
He also used the medium to inform the governor that his people were fully in support of his second term bid.
Bello Ka’oje assured that his people have no choice than to support the present administration to succeed, adding that Kaura’s government had indeed transformed the lives of many people.
“My people have no choice than to rally round His Excellency, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu for a second term,” he noted.
