Gov Idris appreciates K4G for honouring him at 60

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, has appreciated K4G for honouring him to celebrate 60th birthday.

He stated this while cutting his 60th birthday cake presented to him by K4G at Government House, Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

“I want appreciate K4G for the honour. I must thank God Almighty for the blissful years I have spent.

“I rose from a classroom teacher to government house. This a great honour by our creator,” he said.

Gov. Idris said as a teacher, he recently recruited 2,000 qualified youth as teachers.

He said the present administration was doing everything possible to restore peace and stability across Kebbi State.

The governor promised to continue with the good work he had already started for the people of the state.

Earlier, the Chairman, K4G, Hon. Sunuusi Mohammed-Zagga described Kauran Gwandu as an emancipator of youth, saying: “You have appointed so many youth into your cabinet.

“It’s a testimony that no government had placed premium to the development of youth like you, in recognition that youth are the engine room of development.”

On his part, the Public Relations Officer of K4G, ASP Yusuf James-Daddy described the governor as a leader with vision, inspiring hope and development across all sectors.

He noted with satisfaction that Kauran Gwandu had rose from from a classroom teacher to unionism and ultimately to the enviable and exalted position of a governor.

“We are here to celebrate with you for the attainment of excellence and the blessing of God Almighty to attain the age of 60 in good health,” he said.
