Joint security team rescues six, recovers rustled cattle in Kebbi

The joint security team in Kebbi State has successfully rescued six abducted persons and intercepted herds of cattle rustled by bandits.
The victims and stolen livestock were from Kokanawa and Ukuhu communities in Danko Wasagu Local Government Area.
Director of Security, Cabinet Office, Abdulrahman Zagga, disclosed this to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.
He stated that the operation was carried out on the directive of the State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, following reports of the incident.
According to Zagga, the security team tracked the bandits to the Zamfara River area, where they rescued the victims and recovered the rustled cattle. The bandits fled during the operation.
The rescued victims have since been reunited with their families.
Zagga expressed appreciation to the Governor for his consistent support to security agencies, noting that the Governor’s promise of a security base would yield positive result in Zuru Emirate.
He also commended the security operatives for their dedication and bravery.
“My special appreciation goes to the Governor for his unwavering commitment to addressing security challenges across the state, especially in Zuru Emirate and Lakurawa in Argungu Emirate.
“I also extend gratitude to our gallant security personnel who work tirelessly day and night to keep Kebbi State safe,” Zagga said.
