Tinubu arrives Benue, set to visit attack-hit Yelwata community

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has touched down in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, as part of his scheduled visit to the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area, a region recently rocked by deadly violence.
The President’s aircraft landed at the Tactical Air Command of the Nigerian Air Force Base in Makurdi at approximately 12:58 p.m. on Wednesday.
During the visit, Tinubu is expected to engage with key stakeholders and community leaders to address the persistent security challenges plaguing the area.
His presence is seen as a significant response to the spate of violent attacks in Benue, which have claimed several lives and displaced many residents.
In anticipation of the President’s arrival and in recognition of the importance of the visit, the Benue State Government declared a public holiday.
This move was aimed at enabling citizens to participate in the events surrounding the visit and to welcome the nation’s leader as he seeks lasting peace for the troubled region.
