The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has sealed the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) office located in Zone 5, Abuja, over failure to pay ground rent for 25 years.

Officials from the FCTA’s Department of Development Control carried out the enforcement early Monday morning, revoking the land title and sealing off the premises.

The FCTA authorities said the action is part of a wider clampdown on property owners and institutions defaulting on ground rent payments within the Federal Capital Territory.
